March 13th, 2010 - Saturday - 5 pm
Teen and Miss Interview/Speeches will begin around 12 noon.
Age Divisions: Baby Miss 0-23 months, Teeny Miss 2-3 years, Tiny Miss 4-6 years, Little Miss 7-9 years, Junior Miss 10-12 years, Teen Miss 13-16 years and Miss 17-24 years
Prizes: There will be one queen and 4 alternates in each age division. Queens will receive an Official Forestry Crown, Official Crowning Pin, Satin Monogrammed Banner, Official Forestry Trophy, Gifts, Savings Bonds, Cash Scholarships and your entry fees (excluding optional events and ads) paid to represent Wayne at the 71st Annual Miss Georgia Forestry State Scholarship Pageant to be held in Tifton in June 2010. Alternates will receive an Official Forestry Trophy and everyone not placing will receive a Participation Trophy.
Optional Prizes: Prettiest Dress, Prettiest Smile, Prettiest Face and Best Personality, Photogenic will receive nice prizes, People’s Choice Queens will receive a crown and nice prizes, and Hospitality will receive same prizes as the Queens.
The Wayne County Forestry Pageant is open to the following contestants. Contestants entering the Wayne County Forestry Pageant must live within 55 miles of Wayne County. We ask that you understand that you are required to make appearances with this title. Therefore, living within a reasonable driving distance from Wayne County will be to your advantage. Miss Contestants must reside, work or attend school in Wayne County or a county that touches Wayne County.
Entry Fee: Baby Miss thru Junior Miss will be $70.00 beauty fee and (1) $25.00 ad for the program. Ads are Mandatory!!!
Entry Fee: Teen and Miss Division will be $85.00 beauty fee and (1) $25.00 ad for the program. Ads are Mandatory!!!
Ads can be from friends, family or a business. Business card or what you want the ad to say must be turned in with the application.
Optional Categories: Prettiest Dress $10.00, Prettiest Smile $10.00, Prettiest Face $10.00, Best Personality $10.00 and Photogenic $10.00 (extra photos $5.00 each)
Program Books will be $10.00 in advance and $15.00 the night of the pageant (Any contestant that sells $100.00 or more in ads for the program book, receives (1) program book FREE)
Door Admission will be $15.00 for everyone. The only ones admitted FREE are the Contestant and children 4 and under. We will offer reserved seating for contestants' family members at the practice, the cost of reserved seating tickets will be $15.00 per person.
Miss Hospitality is the contestant that sells the most Ads. Winner receives the same prizes as all other queens and will ride in parades and promote forestry right along with other queens. Sale ads to your friends or businesses. Ad pages are $100.00 per page, $60.00 per half page or $35.00 per quarter page, $20.00 business card size, $10.00 for Good Luck Ads. Contact the directors for more information. You must sell a total of $350.00 or more to quality for Hospitality. You must contact the director by February 10, 2010, if you are planning on entering Hospitality. The director will give you instruction on how this event works. All Hospitality Ads are due by MARCH 1, 2010.
MISS HOSPITALITY IS ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE AT THE MISS GEORGIA FORESTRY STATE PAGEANT. IF THE WINNER IS IN THE TEENY THRU MISS DIVISIONS, SHE WILL HAVE THE OPTION TO COMPETE WITH THE OTHER QUEENS AT THE STATE FORESTRY PAGEANT IN JUNE IN TIFTON.
People’s Choice: Start now and collect money. Money will be turned in at the People’s Choice Table at the pageant. Votes can be made from now until the intermission of the pageant. Votes are $1.00 each. Votes are $1.00 each. The contestant in ages 0-24 years with the most votes will receive a crown and nice prize.

Rules: Our have not changed they are the same as always. Our queens can compete in other pageants if they would like. They just have to make their appearances as a Forestry Queen. Some contestants have misinformed that if they win a Forestry Pageant that they cannot compete in other pageants. THIS IS NOT TRUE!

We will have a practice for contestants on March 12th from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Practice is not Mandatory!!! If applications for Teen and Miss all get in on time we may have a MOCK interview practice the weekend before the pageant.
